Susannah Sees the World

In our travels to international folk festivals, we have seen how cultural influences affect music. Some things it turns out are just about the same in all parts of the world though. For example, folk musicians all love to jam--and they all happen to know Oh Susannah! I have one very distinct memory of a Russian fiddler playing Oh Susanna for me (as if to show that he could do it better). Well, he played it very well, but when he played it, it was anything but American.

This arrangement was created as a result of pure frustration after having played Oh Susanna far too many times in a very long parade attended by over 100,000 people in Quebec.

B Minor

Written and popularized by Leahy, B Minor celebrates the excitement and drive of progressive celtic music. Our arrangement has been a long-standing favorite within the band.
